The Francesco Zomer Institute was founded on January 9, 2007, born from the dream of entrepreneur Francisco Zomer in honor of his grandfather, Francesco Zomer, an Italian immigrant who, at the end of the 19th century, contributed to the cultural, economic, and social development of the Rio Pinheiros Alto community, the cradle of colonization in the city of Orleans, Santa Catarina.
Today, his children Gleb, Michel, and Denise continue this legacy, which for more than 18 years has been transforming lives through culture, education, and solidarity. The institution offers free courses, sociocultural projects, and educational activities, combining knowledge, care, and hope in every initiative.
More than a cultural space, the Institute has become a living legacy that inspires, welcomes, and transforms, keeping alive the heritage of its ancestors while paving the way for new generations, always in defense of democratic access to culture, art, and knowledge.
Parnaplast reinforces its social commitment by donating food every month to the Institute.
The Schnorr Institute is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that, since 2006, has been active in a socially vulnerable area of the Campina da Barra neighborhood in the municipality of Araucária, Paraná.
The institution’s main goal is to promote social inclusion and the exercise of citizenship through educational, sports, and cultural activities with families in the region.
Currently, more than 280 children are assisted.
Mission of the Institute:
To strengthen the social structure of families through objective and high-quality actions. The culture of reading, integrated with sports, provides knowledge and values, efficiently motivating the path to social inclusion.
To minimize the social risks in our community, our work requires strong partnerships and joint efforts with the private sector and governmental social protection agencies.
Understanding the importance of integrating young people into the market, we have implemented the Young Apprentice Program. In it, we train and prepare youth to fit into the various activities developed within companies, always according to current legislation.
